Ambassador. Yusuf Yunusa was born in Nguru, Yobe State of Nigeria on 10th July, 1950. He received his informal education from his parents on how to live a decent, modest and upright life. He had his first formal education at Dantata Memorial School in Kano State as well as his secondary education and Teachers College in the same State. He attended the renowned Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, where he graduated in 1982 with Bachelor of Education and later proceeded to University of Port Harcourt to further his training.
Education has been a life-long passion to Ambassador Yusuf Yunusa and he has served the education sector in Nigeria; from a classroom teacher to the level of a principal. He has never allowed age to be an issue when it comes to acquiring knowledge which was why when the paradigm of knowledge in Nigeria shifted to information technology, Ambassador Yusuf Yunusa enrolled himself at the Federal Polytechnic, Damaturu in order to be computer literate.
Ambassador Yusuf Yunusa, in his quest to serve his fatherland, excelled as a Civil Servant and reached the pinnacle of his career as a Permanent Secretary, the post in which he retired from. Due to his exemplary service, he has been opportuned to head other organisations and serve as a member of various reform and review committees at both State and Federal level. Ambassador Yusuf Yunusa is an instrument of positive change in any organization he finds himself in, as he always gives his best to achieve maximum result. He is happily married and blessed with a lovely wife and beautiful children.
